Cultivate Development: Executive Assistant
Do I have time to run a real estate development company and a church? No, of course not. But do I have time to take great care of ten people, so that those ten people can run a real estate company and a church? Yes I do! And today I’m looking to add a person to that team of ten.
I’m currently looking to hire an Executive Assistant, full time. Job description is attached. Perhaps unsurprisingly, it’s a somewhat long job description. It’s not the job is all that complex, it’s just that I like to maintain a robust and diverse work life, and the successful candidate will need to be the sort of person who enjoys an adventure.
While it’s true I have an intense work ethic, I also affirm that life is about more than work. I’ll remember your birthday, the names of your family members, and the themes of your life that motivate and orient you. I will never call you after-hours. I am very rhythmic, I work very hard to communicate clearly, and I don’t yell or become passive-aggressive. I seek feedback, and because I make a lot of mistakes I’m familiar with how to apologize. My accountant recently said, “The great thing about working with you is that you’re never late. The hard thing about working with you is that you’re never late.”
The pay is $30/hour. That might be a bit higher than the going rate for this kind of job in Bellingham, but after you read that job description, I think you’ll agree that the experience needed to succeed in this role warrants it.
