Annual Consultation
MINISTERS NOT SERVING CONGREGATIONS

NWC Presbytery Commission on Ministry (COM) wishes to consult with all NWC Pastors serving and not serving in congregations annually. The purpose is to review, and if needed, discuss and self-report on your ministry and direction, offer encouragement and resources, and pray for your ministry.

Your responses are confidential and will be reviewed by the Stated Clerk or your COM liaison only, who will share them further only with your permission. If you are unable to be forthright with your current COM liaison, please contact the current COM moderator or Stated Clerk.

I. YOUR SERVICE

Please describe your ministry in sufficient detail that we can understand the nature of your service. Your ministry is everything you do to fulfill your calling as an ordained Minister of the Word and Sacrament of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) Please share your understanding of how your service meets the constitutional standards for validated ministry or member at-large (G-2.0503) by answering the following questions:

1. How does your ministry “demonstrate the mission of the Church in the world as set forth in Scripture, the Confessions, and the Book of Order?” Be as specific as possible.

2. How does your ministry “serve and aid others, and enable the ministry of others?"

3. How is your ministry a witness – how does it “give evidence of theologically informed fidelity to God’s Word?”

4. To whom beyond the presbytery, and how, are you accountable to those you serve (employer, organization, agency or institution)?

6. Please describe the circumstances which prevent you from meeting any of the above constitutional standards for a validated ministry.
