Summer 2018: It's almost here and we want to invite you to spend part of it in Alaska!
Some of our Alaska congregations are inviting mission teams to do building projects and people preparing for ministry to intern or serve for the summer.
We need at least two skilled builders and 4 or 5 people who can follow his or her lead, swing a hammer, push a broom or pick up the leftover pieces in one of several locations in Alaska. One group will assemble in Yakutat, another in Hydaburg, and a third in Ketchikan/Metlakatla to assist the intrepid members of each Presbyterian Church in the repair of their classic church buildings. The church and/or the manse will be your home for a time as you demonstrate Jesus' skills as carpenters, serving the community and blessing these congregations.
There are three projects:
The Yakutat Project will focus on painting and repairing rot. For more info please contact Evelyn Derrick, email@example.com
Please review the project information for the Ketchikan PC & Metlakatla PC Work & Mission Trip Opportunities and please read the project information for Hydaburg PC Repair Project.
Thank you for considering a visit to our small congregations. We look forward to hearing from you.
