Congrats to Rev. Hanna Peterson Shearer. She was recently approved at a congregational meeting to begin her ministry as the Pastor at First PC in Kennewick on April 1, 2017. She was examined and approved by the NWCP at the Leadership Summit on Feb. 23, 2017.
Rev. Hanna Peterson Shearer celebrates 15 years of ordained ministry in December of 2017. She has served churches in Hollister, CA, as an Associate Pastor for 3 years; Kelso, WA, as a solo pastor for 8 years; and Bartlesville, OK, as a Senior Pastor/Head of Staff for 4 years. She and her husband, Jamey Shearer, have been married 3 years. They have a 6-year-old daughter, Vivienne, adopted from the Democratic Republic of Congo at the age of 2. Vivienne is an active and friendly Kindergartner who loves swimming, playing with dolls and horses, and her baby brother. Their son, Paul Robin, is 14 months old. Hanna’s call to ministry was to make a difference for eternity in the lives of hurting people. She loves God’s Word and learning from Scripture. Hanna’s favorite bible verse is Micah 6:8. Her hobbies are quilting, singing, playing with their children and enjoying the outdoors. Jamey enjoys golf, fishing, long trips on his motorcycle, and being with his family and his two Chihuahuas. He is originally from New Mexico and met Hanna through their brothers who both serve in the US Army as Veterinarians. His work experience is in agriculture and has owned two businesses. Hanna grew up in Walla Walla as the eldest daughter of Rev. Robin and Kriss Peterson, who ministered at College Place Presbyterian Church for over 30 years. They are excited for a new adventure in ministry together in Kennewick.
