NWCP Pilgrimage to the Holy Land (and possible Egypt option): April 27-May 10, 2018

Join fellow Northwest Coast Presbyterians on a life-changing pilgrimage to Israel/Palestine and experience the Holy Land first-hand as “the fifth gospel.”   The trip includes six days in Bethlehem, with trips to Jerusalem, Hebron, Ramallah and the Dead Sea, an overnight stay with a Palestinian family, and then several nights in the Galilee region as honored guests at the Mar Elias School, which was founded by three-time Nobel Peace Prize Nominee, Archbishop Elias Chacour.

Three of our NWCP pastors are coordinating the trip: Charlie Lewis (Snohomish First), Alan Dorway Everett First), and Milad Nahkla (Calvin) have teamed up with Pilgrims of Ibillin and a seasoned tour leader, Joan Deming, a UMC pastor from Madison, Wisconsin.

Go to www.pilgrimsofibillin.org and look up “Living Stones Pilgrimage” for the details of the trip (the website shows only the 2017 fall trip which will be duplicated for the April 27-May 10 trip we take).  We could be doing an optional extension trip to Egypt (Milad Nahkla’s home) should the conditions become safe enough.  Please contact one of the three pastors who are organizing the trip if you’re interested in going and they would be happy to give you more specifics and answer any questions.   We’re limited to the first 25 people to sign up and are already half way there!   Total cost of for the Holy Land portion of the trip will be approximately $3200 (covers airfare, insurance, hotels, meals, and ground transportation).  The Egypt portion of the trip, should it happen, will be extra.
