Dave is a native of Southern California, graduating in 1979 from UCLA with a BA in Political Science and from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena with an MDiv in 1982. That same year he was ordained as a Minister of Word and Sacrament in the PC (USA). He has served in four congregations in California and Washington and is currently pastor of Emmanuel Presbyterian Church in Bothell, WA.  He and his wife, Mary Ann, who is a birth doula and childbirth educator, have been married since 1986 and they have two adult children.  Their son Justin lives with his wife Natasha in Santa Barbara. Their daughter Laura lives in Seattle. Dave is the author of The Sacred Wilderness of Pastoral Ministry: Preparing a people for the presence of the Lord (IVP 2012) and also works with newly ordained pastors in the Presbyterian Church as a national program mentor for the Company of New Pastors.

Lina Thompson is the Pastor and Teaching Elder of Lake Burien Presbyterian Church where she has served since 2012. Her 30 years of ministry have also included 15 years with World Vision directing both local and national initiatives focused on training and building the capacity of urban youth workers, organizations, churches, and communities. Lina’s Samoan heritage taught her the values of community—particularly rising together, service, concern for others, and sacrifice. Her parents’ unwavering message about the priority of education is the foundation of Lina’s work in the Pacific Islander community as an organizer and advocate for equity in education. Lina’s ministry as pastor, teacher, trainer, mentor, advocate, and community organizer is rooted in a holistic vision of reconciliation, hope, and justice.

Nicholas Warnes (Masters of Divinity, Fuller Theological Seminary, Emphasis in Worship Theology and Art) is the Founder and Executive Director of Cyclical INC, a non-profit that exists to create and sustain ecosystems for starting new churches. He enjoys the regular pattern and rhythm of being both the Executive Director of Cyclical INC and Director of Cyclical LA in Los Angeles. Nick is also a recognized speaker on church planting, coach for New Worshiping Communities with the Presbyterian Church USA, on the advisory board for the Brehm Center and the Church Planting Program at Fuller Theological Seminary, and an adjunct professor at Fuller Theological Seminary (church planting). Nick finished his first book in 2014 with Dr. Mark Lau Branson called Starting Missional Churches: Life With God in the Neighborhood. Nick is married to Whitney and they live in Los Angeles, CA.

Rev. Becki Barrett joined the OPPC Ministry Team in 2013 as Senior Pastor. Born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, Becki attended Whitworth University receiving a degree in Secondary Education (English and Special Education) and then graduated from Princeton Theological Seminary in 2002. Becki's has held pastoral positions leading family ministry, mission, caring ministry, and became an executive pastor before her call to be a senior pastor in Bellevue, WA. She loves all areas of ministry and developed her own leadership development coaching company because of her love for developing strong leaders using Strengths Finder 2.0.  Becki served as the chair of the Personnel Committee for the Seattle Presbytery for six years and now loves her work as the Moderator of the Executive Committee.  At OPPC, Becki is known for her humor, energy, and love for Jesus, the church and the Bellevue neighborhood. At home, she is known for hiking, reading fiction, and travel.

When we come together, leaving our burdens and difference aside to speak truth to power, something unique happens. I'd like to call that church.  

Tamisha Tyler (MDiv in Worship, Theology and Art)  is the Administrator and Head Liturgist for A Subversive Liturgy, a worship community that seeks to bring others into spaces of worship that move toward actions of justice and civic engagement. She is also a PhD student studying Theology and Culture at Fuller Theological Seminary. As a published poet, speaker, and teacher she seeks to create spaces that give others permission to reimagine who they are in Christ.

Seth Normington is a husband and father to three children. He has served as the pastor of Waterville Federated Church in Waterville, Washington since February 2016.  Seth loves to invest in helping people transform into deeper Christ-likeness and leaders in God’s Kingdom. He has previously served ministries in Washington, California, New Jersey, and Michigan.  Seth has received degrees from Western Washington, Gonzaga, Princeton Seminary.  He is currently working on his D.Min at Fuller Seminary focusing on lifelong leadership development and personal development/leadership coaching with a special focus on developing leaders in smaller membership churches. Originally from Spokane, Seth enjoys participating in endurance sports, coaching track and cross country (having coached over 25 all-state performers), officiating track and basketball, traveling, and cooking.  He also serves on the board of directors for the Waterville School District and the Waterville Main Street Association.
