As you, your mission teams and youth ministry plan toward summer we want to share some opps in NW Coast Presbytery for camp, service and learning.
Campbell Farm can host groups and work teams as well.
An opportunity that you may not yet know about is in partnership with with Mending Wings, our covenant partner, native youth ministry on the Yakama Reservation. They offer SLAM Trips over the summer. SLAM = Students Learning About Missions together. This is an opportunity for your young people and adults to live and learn with Director, Corey Greaves and others on the Yakama Reservation about their way of life. It also educates people about the difficulties caused by "fly by" mission trips for native peoples. And to build more enduring relationships and partnerships in Christ that make a positive difference. If you are interested we encourage you to watch this video about SLAM trips, visit the website and especially reach out to Director, Corey Greaves (firstname.lastname@example.org or 509.949.1923) or SLAM Trips director, Molly George (email@example.com or 509.930.7558).
Another opportunity is for Mending Wings to come to your congregation and lead worship or an evening worship program with Dancing Our Prayers (DOP). First PC of Bellingham has done this and was really encouraged. Corey Greaves would like to come and meet with you at your church to talk about these opportunities if you are open to it. Give Corey an email or a call (firstname.lastname@example.org or 509.949.1923).
