Seth Thomas was elected as the Pastor by the congregation at St. James PC on March 12, 2017.  Congrats to Seth and St. James.  Seth's ordination examination by the NWCP will take place in June.

Seth's most recent experience is as a ministry associate and worship director at Birchwood Presbyterian Church in Bellingham, he has years of experience working with the INN Ministries on WWU’s campus, and has even spent some years helping First PC in Bellingham as their Webmaster. He has strong ties to this community & deep roots within the denomination. His desire for inclusion for all, his ideas for revitalizing our congregation, and his insightful questions for our Session helped a difficult decision become easier.

Stacy and I were married in July 2005 and settled in Bellingham to begin our careers. Stacy grew up in Whatcom County, went to Nooksack Valley High School, so I like to say I “married into the county.” Stacy works for Blaine School District as their Executive Director of Teaching and Learning. We are parents of one child, Asher, who was born in September 2014. As a family, we love spending our days around Bellingham, walking the interurban trail, visiting Whatcom Falls park, dining out at Mambo Italiano or Elizabeth Station, drinking good coffee at The Black Drop, and perusing the shelves at Village Books.
