Bruce and Carolyn Winfrey Gillette, friends of Rev. Mary Robinson-Mohr, have shared a hymn written by Carolyn for those affected by the wildfires. They have requested it be shared with the presbytery. Carolyn's copyright gives permission for free use of the hymn.
From PC(USA)'s PDA site:
Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA) continues to monitor and respond to wildfires that have affected several Western states and remains in communication with the affected Presbyteries, connecting them to County & State EOC and VOAD, FEMA representatives, and our National VOAD partners working in this disaster.
At the invitation of the Inland Northwest Presbytery, PDA has deployed members of the National Response Team (NRT). NRT members have been working closely with Presbyterian leaders in the area and helping to meet needs of the affected communities. The communities most severely impacted are Kamiah and Kooskia, Idaho. NRT members have shared how local volunteers and churches have mobilized to provide clothes, food and shelter for families displaced by the fires.
PDA has provided One Great Hour of Sharing funds to Inland Northwest to aid in their community response.
